"Meditation practice isn't about trying to throw ourselves away and become something better. It's about befriending who we are already.
- Pema Chodron -"

Why the need to meditate?

In a world full of devices and social media as well as hectic schedules, the restful awareness we experience during meditation is more valuable than ever.

Restful awareness captures the combination of physical relaxation and an alert quiet mind.

  • In a world where one is constantly surrounded and bombarded by negative news, fear mongering, and chaos- people look and search for peace of mind.
  • The most direct way to experience this and some level of inner silence and well-being is meditation.
  • Meditating to awaken is not about forcing your mind to be quiet- but slowly increasing the gap between thoughts and feeling presence, the silence that is already present between the thoughts and making it a part of your life.
  • Practicing meditation regularly allows one to weave the stillness into one’s mind and body to create a life of greater compassion and fulfillment.

What are the benefits of meditation?

Scientific research and many studies show that when one meditates regularly, breathing slows, there is a drop-in stress hormone levels and blood pressure and a strengthening of the immune system.

Meditation on a daily basis also helps to:

  • ·      Reduce anxiety
  • ·      Create inner peace
  • ·      Awaken your intuition
  • ·      Become less judgmental
  • ·      Enhance your sleep patterns
